Why do I need Quality Control?
To ensure that the goods delivered have the same specification and quality as those ordered.
What happens during the Quality Control?
During production, our experienced QC team look for any possible defects in the actual construction of the product, strength of joints, gaps in joints, proper use of nails and screws. They focus on the quality of the wood, looking for knots, any discoloration, repairs and weaknesses.Once this is complete they consider the actual finish of the product and the overall presentation of the item. Finally checking for functionability of doors, draws, and any other moving parts.
What happens if the Products do not meet the QC Team's standards?
Items that may have defetcs that have not been corrected, further to discussions between our QC leader and the supplier, are rejected. Goods that are damaged or do not function correctly which are beyond service or repair are not accepted. Items that have minor defects are given to our own, in-house team of technician for completion.
What Impact does QC have on delivery times?
Rejected products could mean a delay in shipping and this is why we keep our clients fully aware of the progress of their orders. However these delays are minimized by frequent QC inspections during production. It is also why we plan the delivery of products ahead of the shipping dates to allow for goods to be serviced or replaced.
How Much does the Quality Control Service Cost?
The importance of QC can not be over emphasized, sourcing product and finding the right supplier is only the beginning. The high level of QC Inspection we provide is one of the reasons for our success and is an integral part of our overall service and included in our Handling Fees.
What Happens if I would like to check the goods before shipment?
This can be arranged as long as your availability meets the delivery schedules and shipping time frames.
